Ministry Opportunities

He won’t brush aside the bruised and the hurt and he won’t disregard the small and insignificant, but he’ll steadily and firmly set things right. Isaiah 42:3 (MSG)

Trauma is the result of living in a fallen world, apart from the divine intention of the God who created us. We all experience trauma in various forms. The question is how does it influence our lives? Sometimes trauma is obvious, but some trauma is very subtle, and we could even be prone not to think of it as trauma, yet we have these nagging things in our life that we cannot explain.

Have you ever struggled with understanding your own behavior? Are you confused by the choices you make? Do the same kinds of scenarios keep happening in your life? Do you have ongoing depression or sadness? Feelings of self-hatred? Do you have panic attacks, or live in anxiety?

Trauma can affect us on a physical, emotional and psychological level and can last a lifetime.

Deep memories can control our behavior and the way we live our lives. We make poor choices. We lack joy in our lives. We have limited capacity to handle life situations. We wonder what is wrong with us or blame others. Even intense counseling or psychotherapy cannot get to the deep roots of trauma.

Wherever you are in your journey, the Healing of Trauma Retreat can help you grow and walk in greater freedom and restoration of the life that God created you for. At the Healing Trauma Retreat you will be in the presence of CHM prayer ministers and staff who have been trained in Listen, Love and Pray and who operate in the gifts of the Spirit. You will be in an atmosphere of love - a safe place with people you can trust. Most importantly, the Lord always shows up and He will meet your heart right where you are. Would you like to come and meet Him?

The retreat will include times of teaching, corporate ministry, soaking and personal prayer.

A note about Children...
While families are extremely important to us, because of the sensitive and mature nature of the material, Futher Journey is recommended for those adults 18 and older. However, if an older teen wishes to attend (age 15-18), they must have their parents' permission and be accompanied by a responsible adult. We encourage parents to evaluate their child's spiritual maturity and emotional capacity before sending them to a CHM event.
