Praise Reports

Once again, want to thank and praise God for those who are ordering Sword of the Spirit in record numbers. Many churches are ordering these books in large quantities, and entire congregations are using the Scriptures to pray for the healing of the nation and the church as a whole. This is so encouraging. I still believe that prayer, and only prayer, is our number one tool for bringing our beloved America back into balance and "healing."

It is so wonderful to watch how our Lord has designated Christian Healing Ministries to incorporate all facets of healing, whether it be healing of the body, of the mind, of the spirit, of relationships, of the nation, or of the body of Christ as a whole. He is using this ministry to His glory for healing in all realms. We praise Him for that.

As I drove away from my granddaughter's school this morning, I was touched by the laughter and freedom of the students there. Since it is a parochial school, the question struck me: Will we always be able to send our children to Christ–centered schools? Will our church doors always be open? I know it sounds rather gloomy, but one can't help but see the demise of Christian principles in our society, evidenced especially through our media. These principles, challenged from every angle, cause me to think we are losing the battle. Then this calm voice from within prods me: "Pray, pray, pray! Tell them to humble themselves and pray! I will heal their bodies, I will heal their grief, I will heal the land, but you must pray!"

Many of us fast on Tuesday or Wednesday for breakfast and lunch. Think about joining us. It doesn't sound like much, but it's the discipline that brings us together, and there is power in numbers.

Thank you for praying. It does make a difference.

From the Mailbox

A while back, I wrote to CHM requesting prayer that my husband would get a job. When I received your note stating that God would provide a way, I was moved to tears. It meant so much to see in writing that God loves us and would help us, and to know that others were praying for us. Later that very day I got a call from my husband stating he had gotten the very job that he wanted. I thank God everyday for this blessing and for people like you who send hope to others on cloudy days.

Ever since November of 1994, when I was struck by a falling cupboard and injured my neck, I have not been able to sleep normally, sing in the choir, or continue working. All this changed when I visited CHM in march, 1997, and was prayed for on a Tuesday evening. As I heard, "Lord, help the vertebrae move back into place. Heal the tendons and muscles, and if there is any whiplash, correct it, Lord." I felt a discomfort, and the image of a bone fragment moving came to me. Immediately the pain ceased. On the way home I found I could sing without pain and later had the first peaceful sleep in years. Praise our gracious Lord!

Thank you so much for your kindness and ministry of prayer last week! I feel a load of spiritual oppression has been lifted off my back, and the Lord has renewed my hope and vision for the future — including being a part of a healing and deliverance ministry. My husband also has been encouraged, and I share with him many of the insights that the Lord brought through the prayer minister Rev. Pat Smith. Thank you so much for your love, time and prayers.

My grandchildren had severe allergies, but after prayer they are healed. Thank you so much for your prayers. How wonderful that the medical field is awakening to the power of prayer!

Roger has been completely healed of two brain tumors.

I asked for prayer for my friend who was selling crack. He has stopped and is now in treatment. He says that he saw an angel.
