Spring 2017

Thank you for your healing ministry. You have been praying for my husband for healing of renal cell cancer. We flew from New Jersey to Jacksonville, Florida a few times. You spent tireless hours praying for us at the CHM campus, at a CHM conference in 2014, 2015 and again this year as we joined the Level 1 School of Healing Prayer you held in New York.

Your CHM ministry not only brings God’s kingdom down to earth, but the way that you structure and put discipline and sincerity into the prayer training brings Christ’s presence and love to the place in a powerful way. Three years ago, when we first encountered CHM, we were cautious and felt suspicious. We were very touched by the amount of time you spent praying for us during our appointments. Now we are routinely praying for strangers!

As we approach Holy Week, my heart is filled with gratitude to God for his great love for each of us. On a personal note, this Holy Week (Holy Thursday with the Last Supper, Good Friday and Easter Sunday) is especially an important week for my husband and me. We wanted to pause and write you this note to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your ceaseless prayers for us over the past years. My husband has been healed! You walked alongside us and kept praying for us. God is good! He is such a good, good Father! As of today, my husband has been deemed to be in “very likely” remission for six months now without medical treatment. He is in optimistically observational status right now and the doctors want to watch him for a few years. This is a pure miracle and I give all the glory and honor to our Highest God — Father, Son and the Holy Spirit!!

You see, four years ago on Good Friday, he was diagnosed with this cancer. He was already stage 4, and had a horrible prognosis. We were devastated. God taught us to pray, pray, pray. God showed us the way, and he opened up the road for us when there was no way. He brought YOU and others into our lives to walk beside us. We were in a desert, in the “lands between,” and God fed us with his manna each step of the way. It was not an easy journey, but God is so good. We went through many detours, failing treatment after treatment. My husband’s body became intolerant of many of the regimens, one after another, until even our last resort needed to be stopped because of side effects. Then the doctor added an unbelievable statement, “It appears he is cured.” He was cured in a miraculous way, through prayer!! There was no treatment available for him medically (and this included research drug options). My husband didn’t need any more treatments, because God cured him. God is bigger than cancer!! When man is limited, it is only the beginning of God. Amen! Praise the Lord!!

During this journey we also learned about the discipline and power of prayer in a way we had never known. We grew together in God, learned to be quiet with God, learned to hear God, and to enjoy our relationship with God. Now, we are starting to pray with others as you have taught us at CHM’s Schools of Healing Prayer®. Only God could accomplish this! Thank you for your ministry and for your Schools of Healing Prayer^®!

We want to thank you for being there for us. You have no idea how much we have appreciated your prayers — and for never giving up on us. We continue to pray for complete healing for him.

Pam’s husband works as a scientist in research and development pharmacology and Pam is a physician’s assistant and a pharmacist. They have signed up for School of Healing Prayer® Level 2 in April, 2017.

Note from the Editor: We traveled to New Mexico last year to encourage a group of prayer ministers at Holy Faith Church who already had an established healing prayer ministry. Since my husband and I were already planning a trip to Santa Fe, we went to encourage them and we took with us a group from the healing ministry at The Falls Church Anglican in the D.C. area. The following testimony is a beautiful story of a changed life!

My name is Vicki and in 2016 I was invited to attend a conference by a friend who has a second home in Santa Fe and is active at Holy Faith Church.

We had been studying the books written by the MacNutts from Christian Healing Ministries, and watching the Schools of Healing Prayer in our prayer group at my church (Church of the Incarnation) in Dallas. I was so excited to actually be attending a healing conference in person.

I understood from Holy Scripture that Jesus spent most of his time on earth healing the sick. I was also aware that when the Apostle Paul asked God to heal the “thorn in his flesh,” God answered, “My grace is sufficient for you.” I did not expect to be completely healed, but I knew for certain that it was possible.

I had suffered with Rheumatoid Arthritis for about ten years. Pain, swelling, and diminished physical function were some of my symptoms. During the conference teaching on Friday, I came to understand how much full repentance of sin and unforgiveness were often blocks to healing.

I always prayed for forgiveness every time I spent time with our Lord in prayer. But on that Friday, the Holy Spirit showed me that I had not really forgiven my stepfather for his physical and emotional abuse. I prayed a prayer of forgiveness with one of the leaders of the group. Now I was able to ask for healing.

On Saturday afternoon, I was prayed for with the laying on of hands by one of the Holy Faith prayer ministers. The swelling in my knuckles began to shrink immediately after that prayer. I knew that I had been completely healed and was rejoicing and praising God.

It has been a year since I was healed; I have taken no medicine, had no pain, swelling, or lack of mobility since that time. Thanks be to God! All things are possible through Jesus Christ our Lord, who gives us the victory!
